Kafka would have told us in the midst of today’s pandemic not to let the ‘ape nature’ (a ‘deterritorialized animal force’, courtesy of the humanization of the ape via the modern rational state), flee out of ourselves, ‘head over heels and away’ in order that your fellows in quarantine not to ‘turn into (even more deterritorialized) apes’.

In short, do not resemble a human being when a herd immunity is enforced – it merely wants us to become humans again under the sole pretext that the virus is originated by our failure to become non-bugs, non-pangolins and non-bats.

Gregor Samsa is the model for our quarantined souls- let us rather ‘become- beetle, junebug, dungbeetle, cockroach..’

This is the ‘greatest difference, the schizo difference’.
